the concept of eternal life morphed into the concept of life after death
once you realize that when you are unconscious you are unaware you lose your fear of death –
simply you are either alive and feeling – or dead.
the idea of heaven is to ease the fear of a child of the sight of death
that concept descended down the spiral becoming warped by those that wanted to control action, originally clergy, then picked up by parents – morphs into “if you are not good you will not go to heaven”
replaced in mechanistic materialistic Ashkenazi consumer culture with “if you are not good Santa will not bring you a bunch of toys on Christmas”
